REGALE will implement the open architecture in a prototype system that will guide the optimized deployment of next generation HPC applications on exascale systems. The project’s goals will be sought through four objectives that will define the REGALE architecture, incorporate sophistication, design and implement the REGALE system and utilize this system in order to promote five pilots to exascale-enabled applications respectively:
- Design an open architecture for effective resource management.
- Incorporate sophisticated resource allocation and management.
- Implement an end-to-end software stack for application enabling and holistic resource management.
- Embrace the next generation of HPC applications.
The implementation of the project will follow a co-design approach, where efforts within all objectives interact in design-implementation-validation-evaluation cycles.
